Hot Air Balloon Twilight, Risograph Print A4

Inspired by sunsets, this print embraces the feeling of exploring in those long Summer days as the light begins to dwindle.

'Twilight' is an A4 Risograph print with three layers of colour; sunflower yellow, bumble gum and violet.

This is an edition of 40, signed and stamped by hand.

Paper: Context Natural recycled, 250gsm Card 

Size: A4, 297mm x 210mm

Unframed, A4 prints posted flat, in a card-backed envelope.

The Process

To get the colours, chosen for this print, I got them printed at Duplikat Press, an independent printing studio, in Margate, Kent. Due to the nature of risograph printing each piece is slightly different, this is because of how the print aligned as it rolled over the ink drum, with each colour used in the print being another time through the printer. We love using this technique here at Abi Prints, as it uses soy ink making it a very eco-friendly way of printmaking.
