Koi Pond Ni, Risograph Print A3

Take a dip in the Koi Pond. I have always been fascinated by these beautiful fish that can often live up to 100 years old. There is something wise and mystical about them, and I love all the patterns they have, so I wanted to capture this in a fun risograph print.

Printed on A3 190gsm paper, these two coloured prints have been printed with fluorescent red and light teal ink, with each one numbered, stamped and signed. This is the second updated edition of this print, see the last picture for the first print run.

Unframed, A3 prints are rolled and posted in a tube.

The Process

To get the colours, chosen for this print, I got them printed at Duplikat Press, an independent printing studio, in Margate, Kent. Due to the nature of risograph printing each piece is slightly different, this is because of how the print aligned as it rolled over the ink drum, with each colour used in the print being a new drum. We love using this technique here at Abi Prints, as it uses soy ink making it a very eco-friendly way of printmaking.
