Seconds Monstera Albo, Risograph Print A3

For Super Seconds Festival, I have five prints available. Four of these have a slight orange track mark, which is barely visible (see pictures for details). The last one doesn't have a BG. They are down as different options so please pick your favourite.

Based on the Cheese plant of the same name the Monstera Albo is a beautiful plant which has a mix of green and white leaves. At Abi Prints, I have tried to capture this with a hand drawn leaf, which has collaged torn up magazines inside, to create the textured leaf effect. The background was painted ink. These positives were then scanned straight into the risograph printer (see image for what these look like)

Printed on A3 190gsm paper, these two coloured prints have been printed with teal and yellow with each one stamped and signed.

Paper: white recycled, 190gsm paper 

Size: A3, 420mm x 297mm

Unframed, A3 prints are rolled and posted in a tube.

The Process

This series of risograph prints in my store was printed by me, at MARCs in Salford. Due to the nature of risograph printing each piece is slightly different, this is because of how the print aligned as it rolled over the ink drum, with each colour used in the print being a new drum. We love using this technique here at Abi Prints, as it uses soy ink making it an eco-friendly way of printmaking.
