Whale, Screenprint 30 x 30cm

Part of the Abstract Animal Collection, the Whale Screenprint shines with metallic silver ink and lovely cool blue, purple and green hues throughout. Slightly larger than the rest of the collection at 30 x 30 cm, I wanted to create this design to a larger scale to showcase the beauty of these magnificent animals. 

This screenprint is a limited edition of 4, with only one available on my website currently. All pictures after the first framed print, are pictures of the print that is available to purchase.

Unframed, 30 x 30cm prints posted rolled in postal tube.

The Process

All of the screenprints in my store are hand-pulled by myself. Each Whale is made up of four layers. The base layer is made up of five different inks which I hand painted onto the screen before pulling the ink through onto the paper. This is a technique called a mono-screenprinting, giving each whale in the edition a slightly different body , making each print unique.
